Chicago is a very unique city. It's got beautiful architecture, a fantastic food scene, and the best darn urban waterfront I've ever seen in my life. One of the funniest things the city of Chicago does is dump stuff in the Chicago River once a year. On St. Patricks Day, they dye the river green. A few days ago, they dumped a bunch of toy ducks in the river and made them race with each other. This level of whimsy is only possible within the earnest oasis of the midwestern United States. Imagine if the city of New York tried to dump rubber duckies into the East River just for the fun of it. I don't think those ducks would emerge unharmed.

Of course, Chicago is more than just a river-dumping city. It's the crown jewel of the Midwest and deserves some too-real and hilarious City of Chicago memes for its 2.6 million residents.
